The Indian government introduced labor laws to stop laborers from being exploited by the rich people. The law which relates to labor and employment in India is known under the broad category of industrial law. Industrial law is categorized in 3 kinds of court such as labor court, industrial tribunal and national industrial tribunal. Government Concerning about Labour Laws

Some Acts Made by Indian Government for Labours

Here, the Indian Government introduced many acts that are specially made for the well being of the laborers. Such acts included Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees State Insurance Act, Payment of wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Equal Remuneration Act, Maternity Benefits Act, etc.

There are some Acts created by the Government. In the labor court there are specific lawyers present to solve and fight against labor disputes. The industrial dispute act 1947 says that the appropriate government is empowered to establish one or more labor courts. Its function is to settle industrial disputes concerning any matters specified in the second schedule.

What are the Duties of Labour Court -:

 The labor court can hold its proceedings within a specific time and shall submit its award to the government. The duty of the labor court is to give Justice to the laborers who are exploited by society. The lawyer of the labor court needs to stand for the labourers and give them Justice. Labor courts have the same power as civil courts. It is established by the provincial government with the consultation of the chief justice of the high court.

1) Determination of industrial dispute -:

 Labor court shall adjudicate and determine the industrial dispute which has been referred to or brought before it.

2) Enquiry of matters -:

 It is the responsibility of the lawyer to investigate an enquiry on the matter. Adjudicate any matter that is related to implementation or violation of settlement which is referred to by the provincial government.

3)Trial Of Offences -:

 It can perform civil as well as criminal. It will try offenses that may be specified by notification in the official gazette.
